At an aggressively positive spin studio, two coworkers discover they shared a boyfriend and now join forces to seek revenge while navigating trust issues in relationships, their careers and entitled cycle soldiers.
After Vivian and Josie have a chance conversation at work where they discover they shared a boyfriend for years, they decide to work together to enact revenge on their ex Luke. During the pilot episode, the girls go on a stakeout for their first mission and are faced with harsh truths about themselves and what they allowed in their respective relationships with Luke. As the season continues, the girls go on a whirlwind journey of self-reflection, learning to trust in relationships and themselves, and hurting out loud. Throughout the season, the girls must confront their pain head on while finding humor in the darkest corners and celebrating the strength it takes to push through with a smile, even when it feels impossible.
Bad Bitch, Party of One
(Authenticity and Self-Acceptance)
Smiling Faces’ focuses on confronting pain and finding humor in the most difficult situation - a broken heart. We put the primary theme of self-acceptance and forgiveness into our career-focused, unlucky-in-love audience’s homes. Let’s keep it 100, if we’ve lived any sort of life at all, we know the devastating demise of losing love by betrayal. This can result in feelings of guilt and shame. Our beloved show uses charm and heart-wrenching moments of grounded truth to explore those internalized thoughts and inspire our audience’s own journey of forgiveness of self.
Mentally Lost in the Sauce
(Mental Health Well-Being)
An important and smoking hot topic fresh on society’s mind is strong mental health and resilience. Despite what the self-help podcasts tell us, not all healing is the same, not all healing is gentle, and not all healing takes place under a chenille blanket. Through the lens of the shared romantic relationship between our two dynamic leading ladies Smiling Faces highlights the challenges of navigating heartbreak and the all too well-known toxic positivity in the workplace. The show strives to exemplify alternative avenues of what healing looks like such as fully embracing anger, and even retribution for those who have wronged them. We ask the question, instead of self-care, why not…REVENGE? Then find wild and hilarious ways to explore what that means.
Where My Girls At?!
(Community/The Importance of Your Tribe)
"I don’t even know what I would do without my women friends; I have my friends, therefore I am… they make me stronger, they make me smarter, they make me braver…" – Jane Fonda. Smiling Faces celebrates female resilience and friendship, offering a positive portrayal of women. In the face of the ultimate betrayal, these diverse women buck the “other woman” stereotype and instead team up and lean on each other to heal through reeking havoc upon the man who wronged them.

She later won a starring role in the comedy series “Hangin' with Mr. Cooper,” which aired for 5 seasons. Raven became a pop sensation when she joined the live-action version of “The Cheetah Girls” movie, which was based on the books of the same name. Raven’s solo musical career has also spanned decades. She has released four studio albums, "Here's to New Dreams," "Undeniable," "This Is My Time," and "Raven-Symoné." Her talent and powerful vocal ability led her to Broadway, where she headlined the hit musical "Sister Act.” While in New York, she also spent five seasons on the Emmy-winning ABC talk show “The View.”
In addition to her on-camera work, Raven is a prolific director and has several projects in development under her production banner, I See Pictures, which focuses on creating powerful and meaningful stories about underrepresented communities and championing LGBTQ+ voices.
